FA Cup Tonight

Mansfield Town take on Wycombe Wanderers tonight in a 2nd Round Replay. The winners will meet Burnley in the next round on the 3rd January 2004. The game takes place at Field Mill will both sides hoping to progress to the next round. Mansfield suffered a rare defeat at the weekend with Lincoln recording a 2-1 away victory whilst Wycombe got a point at Notts County but are still stranded at the bottom of the Second Division.

Congratulations also go to local club Accrington Stanley who knocked out Bournemouth in front of the camera's last night. The game remained goaless for a 120 minutes so penalties were needed. Stanley scored their first 4 before Karl Broadhurst blazed over the bar, Paul Howarth kept a cool head and sent Stanley into the 3rd Round where they will meet Colchester.
