For the 4th consecutive week a Burnley player is in the Nationwide Team of the Week. Not for the first time this season its a centre half that's made it. Mark McGregor continues the recent run of Burnley players featuring in the 'Team of the Week'.

The 26 year old recently came back into the side at Sunderland following the suspension of Arthur Gnohere. A solid performance and the suspension of the other centre half David May meant he kept his place for the Sheffield United game.

He was handed the job of marking the 'Chief' Wayne Allison and played really well.The compliment was paid to McGregor when the ineffective Allison was substituted midway through the second half.

The Football League had this to say about McGregor.

"Having earned the penalty which brought about the winning goal at the end of a pulsating First half in the 3-2 triumph over Sheffield United at Turf Moor, the 26 year old former Wrexham defender also gave a solid perforamnce after the break to ensure there was no way back for the Blades. A leading role in a combative performance which took the Clarets upto mid-table."
