The reserve team managed to pick up their first point of the season last night with a 1-1 draw against Bradford City. The Clarets had to come from behind to gain the result thanks to Rhys Carpenters' first goal at this level. The Clarets side were skippered by Mark McGregor who made his return following his injury that he picked up during the pre-season. Burnley fans will be relieved to know he lasted the full 90 minutes and may now be in contention for a place on the bench for this Saturday's game in Sheffield.

Michael Hale had a particularly good game in goal and kept the side in the match with a number of impressive saves. Bradford did manage to break the deadlock during the second half when Liam Flynn managed to convert a chance from a Bradford corner.

Burnley equalised through Rhys Carpenter who headed past Davies after some good work by Ince on the left hand side.

The Clarets still remain bottom of the division although there's no doubt that Ronnie Jepson will be a relieved man this morning.
