Clarets produce stunning second half comeback to down Black Cats in North East In a memorable game of two halves, Burnley scored four unanswered second half goals to claim three points on the road in Sunderland with a 4-2 victory.

Trailing 2-0 at the break, the Clarets came out firing at the restart and goals from Nathan Tella, Manuel Benson, Anass Zaroury & Josh Brownhill ensured over 2,000 travelling fans in the packed-out away end at the Stadium of Light would be sent home happy.

Vincent Kompany tweaked his side in two positions from Wednesday night’s 1-1 draw at Birmingham City. Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Burnley’s scorer in midweek, started in the North East while Ashley Barnes also made the 11.

Accordingly, Jack Cork and Jay Rodriguez were named as substitutes with hosts Sunderland, managed by Tony Mowbray, making two changes from their midweek defeat as Trai Hume & Amad replaced Ajibola Alese & Patrick Roberts. Neither of the latter pair were involved at the Stadium of Light.

Burnley debuted their away kit, sponsored by EMA, on Wearside.

If we perform anything like we did in the first half Norwich could be out of sight by ht.

I dont think we were all that bad in the 1st half, just let in 2 soft goals and were not as keen or as full of running and pressing as Sunderland. The reason it felt so bad was we know we can perform so much better.

That's a poor performance in my book.

we've moved on from hoofball, he's a square peg in a round hole.
Not only that, he was way past it 2 years ago, even for championship level.
He's been a fantastic player for us. scored some wonderful memorable goals but time to get shut in January if possible.
