Vydra second-half goal grabs all three points for Clarets Matej Vydra’s second-half winner secured Burnley a narrow 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Turf Moor on Sunday to lift the Clarets up to 17th position in the Premier League.

Vydra met Wout Weghorst’s ball just past the hour which proved the decisive moment in the fixture and earned a second straight victory for the hosts. Mike Jackson made one change from Thursday night’s 2-0 win against Southampton, as Vydra came in for Maxwel Cornet. First-half In the early minutes, Nathan Collins did well to clear Raul Jimenez’s cross aimed for Fabio Silva in the box. Nick Pope was then called into action, thwarting Jimenez’s tame effort after the Mexican had been set-up by Jonny. Burnley’s first attack forward came through Dwight McNeil, who received possession from Josh Brownhill’s pass to weave into a dangerous position before shooting wide over Jose Sa’s crossbar.
