Points shared at London Stadium The Clarets return home with a point from East London in a battling performance, as Tomas Soucek cancelled out Wout Weghorst's first-half opener in an entertaining encounter.

First half

U23s manager Mike Jackson, who is interim charge of the side, introduced both Dwight McNeil and Jack Cork, the duo taking the place of Josh Brownhill and Aaron Lennon, who were both named on the bench at the London Stadium.

Meanwhile, West Ham brought n Lukasz Fabianski and Nikola Vlasic, with the pair not starting last Thursday’s Europa League quarter final win at Lyon.

Burnley started the game well against the Hammers and showed some positive passages of play in the final third, but the home side made the important blocks before the shots could reach Fabianski.

England international Nick Pope made a tremendous save to deny Jarrod Bowen from just inside the penalty area, getting a strong hand to push away for a corner kick.

I will take a point out of this game but it really should have been 3, folks have been saying there had been a big improvement but I am sorry I didn't see it myself, thought it was very much business as usual.
I do hope Westy is gonna be OK.
The Saints up next on Thursday night, we will have to wait and see if anything further develops regarding a new manager.

A new manager may be the last thing we need, they would have to fit like a glove at this late stage.

My thoughts as well FC, we took the lead, we sat back, we lost the lead. As you say, business as usual, nothing new there.
