Watching it at home in Camb's best place to be as far as I am concerned, even if I still lived ooop north I wouldn't have gone to Deadwood on principal.

What's the principle FC? The fact that it is Ewood or the ridiculous measures in place?

THAT is why we signed Joey Barton. I know large chunks of the game the ball was being wellied over his head, but he did what he, and the team, needed ever so well. And if he can keep his head there, which I never doubted, he can keep it anywhere.

Great fun, daylight robbery, but a worrying performance. I've never seen us defend as poorly as that since the day Dyche walked through the door, Blackburn could have scored half a dozen, come on Sean sort it out, we can't ride our luck all season.
We have played well in short spells in a few games, but overall we're not playing well. Worrying thing is we're now a quarter of the way through the season and we're still nowhere near playing well consistently, can't be far off the point when it becomes not 'when' we play well, but 'if' we play well. How long do we have to wait ?
But in the meantime we're 3rd in the league. Beats me how we're doing it but that's where we are.

Inclined to agree with you BC.
I actually think this is as good as its going to get and we either keep grinding these results out
or
we get found out and when we play teams that take their chances we'll see a few defeats.
But two home games coming up, two more 1-0 wins and by the end of them we could even be top.

Reading being a case in point Dave, we gave them two chances in the first ten minutes, they smacked both of them into the back of the net, and we lost the game.
We really shouldn't be depending on the capabilty of the opposition forwards to determine our results, but that's the way it's been in a lot of games this season. It's not a sound basis for a promotion push, we need to do more.

Might help if we start playing football in the oppositions half instead of giving them the ball after fuddy duddying about just in our own half then giving/losing the ball to the opposition..

We looked dangerous when it wasn't being wellied forward. Now we have a midfield we can rely on, we may as well use them.
Note of optimism...if we are doing ok by Xmas maybe we strenghthen any weak areas plus we may have players returning from injuries.Could be worse and be in a relegation fight.FFs we have dosh, bought and signed players we never thought we would and sit at the top end of the table.

I am in the glass half full camp at the moment. Not playing top of our game and in the top 3, optimistic that that if we continue at this level we could continue to grind out results and if we can up our game, then I will move into the glass full camp.

I have read on a couple of occasions at least that our strikers should have had a hat full. it works both ways.
I am with you CW. If we are playing badly and in the top three then it is a good thing. Still worried about an injury to Duff or Keane.

I can only assume that anyone who thinks we can continue playing like we did at Ewood for the rest of the season, and remain in the top 6, didn't actually see the game.
It was a tremendous result, made for a great weekend, but I don't think Dyche will be as complacent as some of our fans about it, they'll be on overtime down Gawthorpe today, working out out how a mediocre outfit like Blackburn could easily have put five goals past us.

Could have done us a favour showing those glaring weaknesses as long as we deal with them.If we don't every manager in the championship will have taken note and take advantage.Of course we Dick Turpinned them. As for Gray, if he wants to progress then he will have to adapt to the Hanleys and Keane will have to quicken his step.Every ageing midfielder needs to form a partnership with someone who has the legs to do his running and Arfield fits the bill to a T....they are on the same wavelength imo.
