However, West Brom came back when first Chris Brunt in first half stoppage and then substitute Brown Ideye midway through the second denied Burnley all three points.
The draw means Sean Dyche’s men once again find themselves one place and one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League table.

Dyche named an unchanged starting line-up for the 10th consecutive Premier League game; just two shy of the all-time Premier League record set by Birmingham in 2009.
Meanwhile, Albion head coach Tony Pulis handed a starting berth and captain’s armband to new signing Darren Fletcher.
Burnley were out of the blocks straight away!

After just three minutes, the Clarets combined sharply on the edge of the box before Ings struck a left-foot shot over the crossbar. Five minutes later, Burnley went desperately close to opening the scoring.

Kieran Trippier’s low ball into the box was laid off by Barnes right into the path of Scott Arfield on the 18-yard line and the Scot saw his first-time effort somehow tipped onto the crossbar by Ben Foster in the Albion goal.

On 11 minutes though, even the West Brom goalkeeper couldn’t prevent the Clarets from going in front.

This time, Arfield linked up with Ings, who broke into the box and lifted the ball beautifully into the far post.

There was Barnes, who proved simply too strong for Albion defenders, before directing his header into the net for his fifth goal of the season. And moments later there could have been further damage.
