Ings on target in opening day draw.Founding members Burnley and Bolton shared the spoils in a tense opening day derby at Turf Moor.

Danny Ings, prolific on pre-season, made it six goals in five games as he opened his Championship account with an opener midway through the first half.

But Darren Pratley’s equaliser before the break meant the spoils were fittingly shared in this celebratory clash between two founding members to commemorate the Football League’s 125th anniversary.

Burnley lined up as expected, with Sam Vokes replacing Charlie Austin in attack.

And after surviving an early scare when Darren Pratley had his heels clipped in the box, the Clarets immediately went on the offensive, forcing successive corners.

But it was Bolton who came closest to opening the scoring in the 17th minute when Medo Kamara took aim from 30 yards and saw his rising drive fly over the angle.
