Nizic Completes Keeper Overhaul

Young stopper to sign two-year-deal. Burnley are set to complete the signing of teenage goalkeeper Daniel Nizic on an initial two-year deal. 

The former Sydney FC stopper, 18, has overcome work permit issues and will sign a two-year deal, subject to international clearance.

Nizic, who has Croatian and Australian parents, spent time on trial at Turf Moor last season.

However, the former Portsmouth trialist has now secured a family work permit to join the Clarets full time and complete an overhaul of the goalkeeping positions at Turf Moor.

Goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer explained: “Daniel has been on our radar but his parents have done a great job, along with (Burnley CEO) Lee Hoos, in getting his visa sorted and he is here for the long haul as one for the future.

This is ridiculous, we now have 4 keepers and no reserve team so is dyche planning to rotate the most important position on the pitch or are two going out on loan to Non league teams (ie Liversedge & Nizic)
