The Clarets have swooped to clinch a loan deal for exciting Fulham midfielder Alex Kacaniklic.
The Sweden international, 21, is to stay at Turf Moor until the end of the season and will be eligible to make a possible debut at Charlton Athletic on Saturday. Kacaniklic, who has made 15 Premier League appearances for Fulham this season and scored three times, becomes Sean Dyche’s first new recruit as Burnley boss. And his move to Burnley will mean a second stint playing under Dyche after the Clarets’ chief signed the former Liverpool youngster in a loan deal for Watford last season. Kacaniklic, who can play centrally or on the left side of midfielder, made a dozen Championship appearances for the Hornets, scoring his first goal in a 3-2 win over Burnley at Vicarage Road in March. “He is an exciting young prospect and something different to what we have, which is important. He’s dynamic and can mix up his game,” said a delighted Dyche. “He was with us at Watford last year and was then called back and went into Fulham’s first team, which is obviously a good sign.
