The sun beat down on Turf Moor but it felt like Christmas for the Clarets as they got their Championship campaign off to the perfect start with a comfortable win over Owen Coyle's Bolton.
Burnley's former manager was sent home empty handed as the Clarets of Eddie Howe produced almost the ideal all round performance. Strikers Martin Paterson and Charlie Austin both found the net, pouncing either side of half time, and at the other end there was a confidence boosting clean sheet for the re-shaped defence expertly marshalled by new captain Jason Shackell. Not sure we can get much more than 20,000 in these days.
I think the capacity was 20,500 when we were in the Prem and wouldn't be surprised if it fallen further since then. Large sections of the Cricket Field Shed looked to be cordoned off yesterday even though Bolton had sold out.
I see that section of special seating in the JML has sold well.

On the plus side they're getting the music right pre-game and at half time and have introduced designated smoking areas for half time.
