Danny Ings gave a glimpse of a potentially exciting future as the teenager provided the high spot of a low key finale which summed up the Clarets frustrating ability to win at home.
Ings' superb strike 14 minutes from time looked set to give Burnley only their eigth Turf Moor success of the campaign. And it would have been a goal worthy of earning maximum points as the 19 year old gave stand in keeper Liam Fontaine no chance with his third goal of an injury hit campaign which started with injury heartache but which has ended with great promise.
