Graham Alexander has been honoured in his hometown following a milestone season.
The Coventry-born Clarets captain returned from a family holiday to attend a Civic Reception on Friday. Alexander ended the 2010/11 season as only the second outfield player to clock up 1,000 appearances in English football history. The 39-year-old has already received special awards from Burnley Football Club and the Football Association, marking the achievement. And Alexander and his family, including wife Karen and children Calum 14, and Caitlin and Eden both 12, were special guests of the Mayor Of Coventry at a reception in his honour.
