What a brilliant day! Probably the best away day all season.

I must admit, i wasnt convinced about McCann being in the starting line up, but so pleased for him, and for me to be proved wrong.
Very frustrating first half. Defence looked shaky, and they were targeting Fox a lot, and he wasnt doing very well.
Couldnt work out what Rodriguez's role was supposed to be. One minute he was left wing, but kept drifting central. He was doing ok, but should have been a constant partner for Iwelumo.
Elliott was getting a few crosses in, which need someone making near post runs. Iwelumo cant do it on his own.

Second half we absolutely dominated - even before the sending off. Most of our good play came down the right, Eagles, Elliott and Mears linking superbly. And also centrally, McCann ,and Cork in particular, were really influential.
Fox was playing so high on the left, he was like a left winger, but was rarely used. At least that allowed Jay to play more central, and allow us to play the formation we know we do well with.

We are on a roll again.
At last, after the last two an a half games, i think Howe is understanding where certain players should be playing to get the best out of them.
Its looking more like the Coyle philosophy that served us so well.

Keep playing the right formation, keep playing attacking, passing football. It serves us well.

Most definitely.
Nobody is gonna fancy playing us at the minute.
As long as we dont do anything daft, like putting Elliott central, or leaving Iwelumo isolated up front etc etc, with the confidence in the team as it is, we are a match for anybody. It all just seems to be clicking now.

Oh thank God.

Just caught the goals now. McCann's was a belter, eh?

It was, not sure that was a red card though, there appeared to be a defender that got back.

Ah well.

Ive just watched the highlights and thought it was a definate red, there might have been another defender but the next players in mears's sights was the keeper so it had to be a goal scoring opportunity

big 3 matches coming up now, lets hope the run continues, we know from experienced that the team going into the playoffs on a roll tends to be the one who does the best
