Another trend to report. See if you can work it out. Home to Manchester United. Win. Home to Everton. Win. Home to Sunderland. Win. And now home to Birmingham. Win 2-1. Four in a row. One hundred per cent.

Not even the most optimistic Burnley fan (and after decades of experience that is not me) could ever have predicted or imagined it.

This week's is so much more gratifying than last week's trend: away losses of 2-0, 3-0, 4-0 and then 5-0 at Spurs.

And there was so much hope as fans poured out of Turf Moor that the away trend can be bucked in our visit to Blackburn Rovers in a fortnight's time.
