The Clarets recorded a three-two victory in their opening friendly of pre-season, away at Accrington Stanley's Fraser Eagle Stadium.

Three second half goals from Gray, Jones and Mahon were enough to see of the newly promoted Accrington Stanley 3-2 in front of 1700 fans.

The Clarets had been 2-0 down at half time. But once they put out a side, resembling the first team in the second half the match rapidly changed.

There were no trialists on display, indeed manager Steve Cotterill was not present, as he is away on holiday.

The Clarets team in the second half was as follows:
