It’s coming up to ‘Site Awaiting Update Time’ again.
So next up for the Pirates is a 2pm Saturday kick off in Jersey in the Quarter Finals of the Championship Cup and luckily the weather forecast is suggesting a chilly but sunny afternoon.
Can the boys turn around a rather disappointing away record this season and overcome a Jersey side who have been enjoying a successful spell of late?
There where heartening signs last week against Hartpury that some of the set piece issues that have affected results recently have been ironed out and the backs, as usual, showed an abundance of pace.
As always it will depend on the set piece. If we can hold our own at scrum time and win our own line out ball we have a chance. Our defence had looked very good recently and the backs look very dangerous when given good ball to attack. The pace in our back three would test any defence. Jersey are a bogey team for us, so a win would be brilliant.
The 2 clubs have been in contact today; Pirates on the afternoon flight from Exeter & will be leaving Pz a little earlier than originally planned. Fingers crossed the travel situation has eased, as today looked a bit grim!
