Dundee United's Jim Lauchlan has refused to give up hope of being capped at full level for Scotland. He has been included in the practice squad for a Scotland B game against Dundee United - presenting a bizarre opportunity to play against his own club.

But the defender believes there is still time to force his way into the top team.

And he will be determined to use this game at Stirling Albion's Forthbank stadium to impress Berti Vogts.

He said: "There is maybe an opportunity there for myself - I just have to work hard and play well at club level first and foremost.

"Even some of the boys at my own club will be out to impress as well.

"I don't think my chance of making the Scotland squad has passed me by, although there are some very good centre-backs in the squad already."
