Lauchlan collided with Gallacher, and Hibs defender Ian Murray was left with a tap-in from a yard out.

David McCracken scored the second goal of his United career in the 32nd minute but Tom McManus equalised from the penalty spot 13 minutes after the break, before the calamitous final minutes decided the game.
