Not the greatest season, it has to be said, in terms of entertainment. But like every campaign, it did have a few high points. Though not many! Anyway, congratulations to our winners, you'll be receiving...erm, the satisfaction of knowing you've achieved something this season! PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Barry Hayes - if he'd joined earlier in the season we might have ended higher up the table with his goals.

GREATEST GAME: Millwall 2 Sunderland 0 - we always seem to turn it on against our ex boss Mick McCarthy

GOAL OF THE SEASON: Dennis Wise v Ferencvaros - Millwall's solitary and historic goal in Europe, and from a nicely taken free kick as well!

MOST IMPROVED PLAYER: Alan Dunne - an unbelievable transformation this season, should have a great future in the game as a midfielder rather than as a right back.

CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR: Dave Livermore - always put the team first.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Wise leaving the club - the guy's a natural born winner, as he'll prove somewhere else now!

MOST CONSISTENT PERFORMER: No-one was outstandingly consistent.

LIKELY SUMMER SIGNINGS: No big names - we need to cut the wage bills.

LIKELY SUMMER DEPARTURES: Paul Ifill and Darren Ward. There's a lot of interest in both players and sales may be necessary to reduce the club's debts. Young left winger Peter Sweeney is also attracting admiring scouts, but may stay for a while longer.

MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT: Liverpool trying to pin the blame on Millwall for their own fans' violence.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE YEAR: Taking four points off West Ham for the second year running!

BEST OPPOSITION FANS: Sunderland - accepted defeat gracefully & backed their team to the hilt.

WORST OPPOSITION FANS: Liverpool - generated a lot of noise but an unsavoury element couldn't behave, unfortunately.

BEST TERRACE CHANT:He's got birdsh*t on his head and a lion on his arm (sung to QPR's Marc Bircham with his dyed blue & white hair and Millwall tattoo). "We want Pardew in!" (in response to West Ham chanting "Pardew out").

WORST TERRACE CHANT: "Sh*t on the gypos" (sung by Liverpool fans to Millwall)
Where's your caravan? (sung by West Ham to Millwall)

BEST OPPOSITION PLAYER: Milan Baros of Liverpool - showed true Premiership class and plenty of pace too.

WORST OPPOSITION PLAYER: Mauricio Taricco of West Ham (was withdrawn after just 27 minutes) - one of the worst debuts I've ever seen, but he had a hamstring injury apparently.
