Pertemps Bees have made eleven changes to their starting line-up for the National League One game against London Welsh at Sharmans Cross Road on Saturday March 20 (2pm).

The Bees' players took heavy punishment in last Sunday's Powergen Cup defeat at Premiership side Newcastle and they have lost skipper Ed Orgee and scrum-half Paul Knight with rib injuries and lock Alex Davidson with a shoulder problem.

A number of other players are also nursing minor knocks so director of rugby Phil Maynard has been forced to ring the changes with only Luke Nabaro, Shaun Woof, Jim Jenner and acting-captain Nathan Carter surviving from the starting line-up at Kingston Park.

Former Oxford University full-back Tim Barlow will make his debut for the Bees and play his first competitive match since he suffered ankle ligament damage in the 2002 Varsity Match.

Former Newport fly-half Jason Strange, who is on loan from Rotherham, will make his first start having played as a replacement in the Bees' last league outing against Orrell two weeks ago.

Former Sale and Rotherham prop Jim Thorp will play his first game in four months following his recovery from a shoulder injury that required surgery and ex-Moseley, Leicester and Sale lock Neil Fletcher has been recalled to the squad for the first time in more than three months to cover for the absence of both Orgee and Davidson.

Bees lost just their second game of the season away at Old Deer Park when the Bees struggled to turn possession into points when Mark Woodrow had a stinker with his kicking boots. Lets hope Bees can win this time with a seriously depleted squad.
