Argentine star in plea to stay at Portsmouth

D'Alessandro has enjoyed his time so much on the south coast that he has appealed to the clubs hierarchy to make his loan move permanent when his loan deal expires. There is the problem of a 5.5 million buy out clause though, which is thought to be a bit too rich for Pompey blood, and they are hoping to negotiate that down.

But undeterred D'Alessandro stated:

'I am really happy.

'I have achieved what I set out to do when I arrived. I would like to stay.'
