Liverpool star ‘perfect’ for French giants

Marseille chairman Pape Diouf has stated that he feels Liverpool's Djibril Cissé would be the perfect player for Olympique Marseille. Marseille are looking for a new striker after a poor start to this seasons campaign and he believes that live in Marseille would suit the player better to. Speaking to L'Equipe, Diouf stated:

"He (Cissé) would suit Marseille and Marseille would suit him."

"But he still plays and scores for Liverpool. However, until the winter break, things can’t change."

Since joining Liverpool for 14 million pounds in July 2004 Cissé has only showed occasionally what he is really capable of. There have been persistent rumours that he is unsettled under manager Rafael Benitez and has even hinted that he expects to move during the January transfer window.

The big question would be if the French Giants could afford Cissé, or will he be snatched from under their noses by another Premiership side.
