Stam Won’t Go Dutch

Dutch coach Marco van Basten has revealed there will be no return to the international scene for Jaap Stam.

Stam retired from international football after Euro 2004 and there has been speculation he will make a return.

 

van Basten said:

 

“Last year he let us know in a personal letter that he is no longer available.

 

''Until the moment he gives a sign that he has changed his mind, we won't do anything to call him back to the selection.''
