Inter-Milan to mount serious challenge for title.

Juventus coach Fabio Capello has come out and said,"It's an open contest between us Milan and Inter. The 'Nerazzurri'look much closer on paper this year to their arch rivals and expectation although normally high, seems this time based in reality. It all begun to change toward the end of last term, when Inter gained more points than any of their main rivals in the second half of the Serie A season. They then went on to win the Coppa Italia, their first trophy since 1998.

Moratti has signed three players with good campaign experience from Real Madrid: Samuel, Figo and Solari and the playmaker Pizzaro from Udinese. Moratti himself commented, "I think we have the continuity we have lacked for years thanks to the hard work of Mancini". The 'Bianconeri and 'Rossoneri' are preparing a scudetto campaign that most feel will go to the wire, with any one of three teams in contention for the 05/06 Italian league title.
