Davids given world cup boost

New Spurs signing Edgar Davids has been given a World Cup Boost by national manager Marco Van Basten. Davids had fell out of the reckoning for the Dutch squad after a disappointing time with Inter Milan, but Van Basten stated if he can recapture his form at Spurs, he would have a chance for the national team:


"If Edgar plays well for Spurs he will be considered for the national team again," Van Basten said.

"He is a player with vast international experience and if he is at the top of his game he will be welcome."
