Spurs Striker Mido has spoken of his excitement at the start of the season and how extra training over the summer has made him more than ready as he look to start his second season with Spurs.
Speaking to the clubs official website Mido said:
"When I signed I knew the first five months would be difficult. That's normal and not only for me, but any player who goes to a new club.
"I made a good impact in the first game but after that it was difficult and I knew I had to come back. I worked hard in the summer, didn't have a vacation and worked hard.
"All my friends were away but I chose to train, to lose weight and be ready for the pre-season preparations. So far it's gone well, I've scored goals and I'm looking forward to the start of the season. I feel better and everyone can see that I'm fitter."
