Spurs star speaks on Real threat

Noureddine Naybet has told his Spurs team mates to expect more from Real Sociedad, than they have so far seen in the Peace cup, Speaking ahed of Thursday’s clash Naybet told the official website: "I remember in the 2002-03 season when I was at Deportivo that Real Sociedad had a very good team and did well in the Spanish championship."

"They finished second that season and we finished third.

"The year after they played in the Champions League and did very well but since then they haven’t qualified for Europe and have dropped off a bit in my opinion.

"They've made a lot of changes with young players coming through and changed their coach.

"When you play in the Spanish championship it is a much more technical, attacking game. They are a Basque team who play with a different mentality. Lot of young players are coming through and every year two or three young players progress into their first team.

"In the two games I have seen them play I don’t think they have played to their potential but they have two good strikers in Darko Kovacevic and Turkish international Nihat who could cause us problems."
