Barça Youngster Messi Wanted On Loan By Rangers

According to British Sky Sports, Glasgow Rangers are interested in Lionel Messi. The hot prospect from FC Barcelona. The 18 year old playmaker impressed many with his eye catching performances for Argentina during the World Cup U20. Messi were voted most valuable player of the tournament, he became topscorer with five goals and he won the championship in the end with Argentina.

Barcelona renewed Messi's contract recently with five years but he can't count on a starting place yet with heavy competition from Deco, Giuly and Ronaldinho.

Rangers manager Alex McLeish is very keen to get Lionel Messi on a year loan to Ibrox Park. It's not clear yet if Barça are interested in any loan deal.
