Van Der Meyde: No To Monaco

Andy Van Der Meyde has turned down AS Monaco. The right winger prefers a switch to a Serie A or Premiership club. Van Der Meyde and his agent are looking for a new club given the fact that he couldn't hold down a regular place at Inter Milan, since arriving there two years ago. In his two seasons at Inter he only played 32 games in which he scored one goal. The Dutchman who is under contract at the Nerazzurri till the summer of 2007, is allowed to leave Inter for a reasonable fee.

Van Der Meyde played for Ajax and FC Twente before he joined Internationale.

Other clubs who have been linked with Van Der Meyde in the past are Benfica, Everton, Real Sociedad and Middlesbrough.
