Tony Adams in an interview with L'Equipe has admitted to a desire to coach in Le Championnat. Adams had a glittering career with Arsenal and remains a legend to many of the fans, he stated: "I would like to work in a different context with good players."

"I had some exciting talks with several contacts in France.

"I am attracted by anything - a Ligue 1 club, a Ligue 2 club, or even a young team in a big club that is very well structured.

"During the last few months, I've watched a lot of matches and travelled a lot; Juventus, Schalke in Germany, and I also followed closely what Paul Le Guen did at Lyon.

"Today I really want a French experience."
