Real Betis After Cicinho

Real Betis Sevilla have confirmed their interest in Sao Paulo and Brazil right back Cicinho to French football magazine 'L'Equipe'. The Brazilian back is also attracting interest from Portuguese giants FC Porto. Who see Cicinho as ideal replacement for Georgios Seitaridis, who left Porto for Dinamo Moscow in a £7 million deal.

Cicinho reacted on the rumours, after the 3-2 win against Germany in the Confederations Cup semi final, by saying: "The rumours are true, Betis are following me and I am on top of their shortlist. My agents will travel to Sevilla next Thursday to start the negotiations".

Cicinho is still in Germany with his country Brazil to prepare themselves for the Confedarations Cup final on Wednesday, against Argentina.

The right back who made a big impression with his decent displays during the Confedariotns Cup has one year left on his Sao Paulo contract. His club rate him in the £4m class.
