Spurs target to stay in Italy Messina star Carmine Coppola has said that he doesn’t fancy moving to Spurs and England and wants to remain in Ital with Messina. “It’s true there have been many offers for me, and I am honoured," stated Coppola

"But, at this point I have the desire to stay at Messina.

" I will exclude moving to England altogether at this time.

"I will review the other offers, but I think its right to stay with Messina at this time.

"In the USA, I received compliments from the Italian national team coach. Mr Lippi who congratulated us, and said we are all under observation with a chance for next years World Cup.

"To have a chance to play in it, first I must be a regular and be in the condition to express myself best.

"And so Messina seems the ideal place again, in that I consider it my second home.

"With officials who love me and a coach who knows me, it would make everything easier."
