Spurs in late bid for Barca ace.

Spurs are strongly rumoured to be behind a late bid to tempt Barcelona midfielder Gerard from the sunny shores of Monaco, to the Premiership and White Hart Lane. The one thing that is certain at the moment is that Gerard will be leaving Barca on a free contract this summer, having only played a bit part role in this years Championship win and never really managing to live up to the hype, he was inspiring when first arriving at the Nou Camp.

Monaco are currently favourites, but Spurs believe that the lure of Premiership football could just tip the balance in their favour.
