Owen ‘unsure of Madrid future’

With Newcastle United and Arsenal wanting to sign him, Real Madrid’s Michael Owen has admitted that he is unsure about his future with Real Madrid, and he is worried about what players they will bring in, in the summer. Madrid could go a second season without silverware and this is not looked on as good enough for the Spanish giants, so there could be a few changes in personnel, Owen has impressed in Spain, but has never really secured a first team place and could be one of the more vulnerable players at Real.

He has spoken of his keenness to stay at Madrid, but should another striker or two be bought in the summer Arsenal and Newcastle are ready to pounce.

"Real Madrid are a massive club and it's always like this in the summer," said Owen.

"They have got more of a reputation than most for buying in the summer, so it remains to be seen what will happen."
