Danish youngstar joins Werder Bremen

Werder Bremen today completed the signing of Leon Andreasen. He is currently the captain of the Danish U-21 side and has signed a four year contract for the German side. Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf praised the player versatility stating: "He is extremely versatile, he can do more than just defend".

And general manager Klaus Allofs added his praise stating: "We originally had a few problems agreeing the transfer fee with AGF but we sat down again and worked out a good deal for both sides."

He will remain in the Bundesliga until 2009.
