Juventus star Alessandro del Piero is seriously considering a switch to Spurs or Arsenal. He is now 30 and under Capello at Juventus he feels he is running the risk of becoming an increasingly peripheral figure.
The Italian press state that Del Piero would relish a switch to the Premiership and London in particularly, and that both Spurs and Arsenal have made tentative enquires about a summer switch.
A lot would still depend on what sort of transfer fee Juventus would demand and if he would be willing to take a massive pay cut. Because a move to the J-league could still, be on the cards, and he would be paid the same as he is now, where as a move to the Premiership would see his wages slashed in half.
But Del Piero still wants more competitive football, and sees Japan as being a few years away for him as yet.
