Newcastle’s Kluivert to return home?

Reports a emerging that Newcastle’s Dutch striker Patrick Kluivert, could be about to make a shock return to Holland and AZ Alkmaar. AZ, currently second in De Eredivisie, look like they will grab a Champions League place and have one of the wealthiest chairmen in Holland in Dirk Scheringa.

Louis van Gaal will be manager there next season and he sees the potential signing of Kluivert as a way to keep his young stars at the club, the arrival of a big name, showing them that the club means business.

So everything could indicate that Kluivert could indeed go, except perhaps the fact that Kluivert himself says he is happy at Newcastle. It will probably depend on whether Souness offers him the extra two years on his contract, but if he does I expect him to stay at Newcastle.
