Boro star ready to switch countries for international call-up Franck Queudrue is willing to switch his allegiance away from France and towards the Republic of Ireland. He played for France at under 21 level, but feels he is unlikely to break into the full French Squad.

He revealed that he had an Irish grandfather, which will therefore enable him to play for the Republic:

"I have spoken to Brian Kerr about it and I want to play," said Queudrue.

"It has been confirmed that my grandfather was born in the Republic which means I can play.”

"I would like to play for France because I feel I am French, but I would also love to play international football and if there is a chance that I could play for Ireland then I am interested. “

"The thought of playing at World Cups and European Championships does appeal."
