Shevchenko set to return for AC Milan

Ukrainian striker and European Footballer of the Year Andriy Shevchenko is getting ready to return for AC Milan in time for the Champions League quarter-final derby against Inter Milan. He could even be ready to play in Saturday's Serie A game against Brescia. Milan's medical chief Jean-Pierre Meersseman stated:

“He is fine now and is actually better than we thought he would be at this stage.”

“In terms of general fitness he is in good shape.”

“Maybe he is lacking a bit of match sharpness but if he plays against Brescia - and he is available - then he should resolve that.”

Brescia game apart the main game for Milan and Inter fans alike is the upcoming quarter final derby, AC Milan were favourites before, with a returning Shevchenko, it is very difficult to see beyond Milan for progression to the Semis.

In fact if I am being honest I personally find it very difficult to see past AC Milan for the whole thing.
