Everton, Middlesbrough and Aston Villa, are all being encouraged by Juventus to bid for their out of favour midfielder Stephen Appiah. Juventus are keen to realise funds ahead of the Transfer market and see Appiah as surplus to requirements. Various Premiership clubs enquired about the Ghana international midfielder star, in January, but Juventus were unwilling to allow him to leave then. But now Juve director general Luciano Moggi has been told by coach Fabio Capello that it is time for Appiah to go.

Another player who looks to be leaving Turin is Alessio Tacchinardi, who is a target for La Liga’s Barcelona.
