Talks will open this week between Milan and Chelsea over a transfer fee for Hernan Crespo. Crespo, who is currently on loan to Milan is desperate not to return to Chelsea and it is understood that he has already agreed personal terms, but the two clubs have so far failed to reach agreement.
Chelsea are looking to recoup some of the 15 million pounds they paid for Crespo, while it is thought Milan are willing to pay about 8 million.
"I am hopeful that Chelsea will sell and am confident that I will remain," said Crespo
"I made my decision last June and I have only one intention which is to stay with Milan. However, a deal must be agreed with Chelsea first."
