Lazio, live to fight another day

In what could quite possibly be the best decision Lazio will ever have awarded in their favour, the club has managed to escape bankruptcy despite owing the Inland Revenue €109 million. A relieved Lazio president Claudio Lotito announced that they had reached agreement to pay off their debts over the next 23 years.

"We have reached an agreement with the Inland Revenue office that avoids Lazio's bankruptcy, and I became the Italian League's advisor too.”

"These are two wins this club needed a lot," explained Lotito.
