Barcelona interested in Shaun Wright-Phillips

The Spanish press today claimed that Barcelona are working on a summer move to bring Manchester City’s Shaun Wright-Phillips to the Nou Camp. The have allegedly already sent scouts to watch Wright-Phillips and are said to consider him their number one summer transfer target. But Barca's director of sport Txiki Beguiristain refused to either confirm or deny the rumours stating simply:

"Barca are a club who are doing a lot of work and are following many players in Europe, not just one or two.”

"It is still too early to talk about defining our targets."
