Chelsea could price midfielder out of market

The permanent signing of Juan Sebastian Veron could be on hold after it emerged that Inter are not willing to meet Chelsea’s £15 million pound asking price. Despite previously being the big spenders of Italian football, Inter have treaded more cautiously over the past season or two. And as much as Roberto Mancini rates Veron as a player, it is unlikely that they will take the player at any price. There could however be one ray of hope and that is in the shape of Brazilian striker Adriano.

It is strongly rumoured that Chelsea are interested in the £40 million rated player and could include Veron in any deal that brings the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge. But that deal is by no means a certainty, with Adriano himself, thought to favour a move to Real Madrid.
