Roma fans may force me to quit says Totti

Francesco Totti has warned the Roma fans that booing him will just get him to leave the club, sooner rather than later. He was booed during Thursday night's Coppa Italia victory over Siena, when he had asked the crowd to stop throwing flares. The game had been held up for over an hour from the smoke caused by the flares and Totti approached the crowd to ask them to stop, but was booed in return.

A clearly emotional Totti stated:


"I approached them to ask they stop throwing flares."

"But the fans insulted me and jeered me. I do not understand why and believe I do not deserve this.”

"I am very disheartened and will consider my future at the end of this season."

"The wound this has been created and it is something that will not heal easily."
