Real Madrid step up interest in Everton midfielder

Real Madrid are increasing their interest in Everton midfielder Thomas Gravesen according to his agent. And although he does not expect anything to happen before the summer he has admitted that himself and Gravesen are interested in the move. Gravesen is out of contract in the summer, so could theoretically move on a free then, it just remains to be seen whether Everton would rather realise some cash now, or wait and risk losing him for nothing in the summer.

Speaking to Onside.dk. Sivebaek stated:

''Yes, one person from Real Madrid has called,''

''He said they are interested in Thomas Gravesen and that they will get back to me later.

''That is what we are actually waiting for. All the time, we have been expecting for something to happen in the summer because I don't expect Everton to sell.

''But it is a possibility that he will extend with Everton. I can't mention names but clubs from England, France, Holland, Italy and Spain have all been in contact.''
