Roma: Should I stay or should I go now.

Following on from yesterdays dodgy song title, here is another one but it could just as easily have a literary title, how about ‘the decline and fall of the Roman Empire’, well I am not sure what Gibbon would have made of it all, but myself, Roma are in freefall. The more the likes of Cassano and Totti protest they aren’t going anywhere the more I don’t believe it. We football fans are a simple bunch (well I am anyway, I have a part time job as an idiot (I used to be full time but its surprisingly tiring)) but we are not that easily conned.

Now the average Janet and John (well providing Janet has done the dishes) must know that there is something very wrong in the capital, Roma might as well not have turned up for the Champions League, their skint, Lazio haven’t quite got enough money to be classed a skint.

Fans rioting, players fleeing and all the while pretending, that these stars are not going to leave. One or the other or perhaps both will be pulling on a Madrid top before the beginning of next season, regardless of what the president of Madrid says.

And if anyone thinks he went all the way to Rome merely to watch a match, well I know where there is a job share for village idiot available.
