Man City and Bolton in for Ancona midfielder

Manchester City and Bolton are interested in securing the services of Croatian winger Milan Rapaic. He has actually tried to break in to the premership before, when Liverpool brought him across for an extended trial but decided against offering him a contract. But while he may have failed to impress Liverpool, he has impressed iwth both Perugia and more recently Ancona, he also played for a while in Turkey with Fenerbahce.

He impressed in the 2-2 draw with france last week, scoring from a penalty and giving William Gallas the sort of game where he probably finished with a headache. It was also his cross that helped net the opening goal in the eventual 4-2 defeat at the hands of England.

A source close to the player is quoted as saying, 'he has several clubs interested in him, but the Premership does hold his interest.'
